David has spent more than fifteen years working every side of live production. He started in 2007 as an AV technician at J&S Audio Visual, setting up corporate events, conferences and shows at The Broadmoor, where he earned customer service certificates from both the hotel and JSAV and supported clients ranging from CEOs to the U.S. Secret Service. He founded Tornadic Entertainment in 2010 and has contracted through it ever since.
Most of his camera work today is in live sports broadcast. As a camera utility he has worked NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, MLS, NCAA, UFC, AEW and NASCAR productions for CBS Sports, FOX Sports, ESPN, NFL Network, MLB Network, NBAE, Apple TV, Pac-12 Networks, Altitude TV and others. As a camera operator his credits include the 2022 Stanley Cup Finals for NHL Network, Air Force Football for CBS Sports Network, Avalanche and Nuggets coverage for Altitude TV, Colorado Rapids for Apple TV and Univision, and CU Buffs Basketball for Pac-12 Networks.
On the set side, he has worked as an assistant camera on documentary, comedy special and commercial projects, and as a production assistant on reality and documentary television, feature films, music videos, branded content and editorial shoots for NFL Films, American Idol Productions, Prometheus Studios, Sharp Entertainment, Warner Bros. TV Production Services, Smuggler, Turner Sports and more.
Before production, David served in the U.S. Air Force Reserve as an avionics technician on C-130 Hercules aircraft at Peterson AFB, graduating first in his class and holding a Secret security clearance. He is a member of IBEW Local 45 (North Hollywood) and Production Workers Guild Local 111.
